Led³ works in combination with an optical tracking system and can continuously measure the part it is attached to in 6 degrees of freedom. Led³’s rechargeable battery, wireless communication and optical targets provide a user friendly turnkey solution for many tracking applications..

For more demanding or exact application requirements, data from several Led³ units can be combined to increase angular accuracy or tracked from several objects simultaneously.

The wireless Led³ has many advantages over traditional individually wired targets and the problems associated with cable management and connector maintenance. The unit can be easily mounted by three screws on an adapter plate. For example:

• On the end-effecter of an industrial robot (Free of any wires); Measure absolute or relative 6DoF position and trajectory
• Hydraulic mechanisms; Measure kinematics’ characteristics
• Crash Test set-up: Initial dummy positioning which facilitates interactive repeatable positioning
• 6D Shaker tables to collect dynamic characteristics

Dynamic reference: The Led³ units can also be used as the “dynamic reference” where measurements are relative and compensate for any motion of the part or motion of the measurement system itself.
